They are used for ultra-high reliability applications, in locations like nuclear powerplants or aircraft cockpits. These keyboards can be easily made totally waterproof.

found the “customizable keyboard”. It’s not meant to be used as a full keyboard. The keys are all unlabeled, but have slots for sliding in labels. They can all be programed to whatever command or combination of commands you choose, and can be moved to whatever position. You’d need to keep your regular keyboard, but it’s an amazing addition to any gamer’s arsenal. Use with a novint falcon for pure epic.
