Poor fools, you all should know that the only being capable of creating beauty of such magnitude is the all powerful Flying Spaghetti Monster. After all, God allegedly created man in his image and thus would have hands and hands are not nearly as useful for crafting life as noodly appendages are.

Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!

Seriously, I’m the first one to actually say the line?! Come on, people.

These are from a great special done on Discovery (I think, could have been the Learning Channel). I’m an animal science major and we watched it in my Animal Breeding class. It’s really amazing, the whole program is worth seeing.

Toto said,

as a matter of fact, the dolphin would drown. His mother has to support him to the surface until he manages to swim and breathe by himself.

Such stunning pictures! The natural world around us is so incredible! There is no greater power or any god that can be accredited to this sort of natural beauty, so stop talking about it. Read a book for crying out loud (preferably one with scientific founding rather than one filled with fables).

This proves nothing about creation. Examine the Bible closely, notice all the contradictions and blatant errors, and you will begin to see that it was written by man, not by some god or another.

I wonder how they got pictures like that….do they cut them up a bit and stick a camera in? Do they go up the hole?

And then, what’s creating the back light and what not? It’s all so confusing, but really cool at the same time.

I really don’t care if it was God or evolution really. Human’s dwell on silly things anyways.

STFU about the religious nonsense. Just look at these pictures and appreciate them for what they are. If God made us then why do we have an appendix and a tail bone?

Actually scientists discovered the appendix actually serves as a safe house for good bacteria in our body until it is needed. Also it helps coach the white blood cells!

P.S. No one is going to change their beliefs just because you are arguing over the internet like idiots.

Matt said,

What is more concerning to me is that I’m not certain if pictures of this nature can be taken without first removing the animal from the body and thus killing the little baby animals. They are amazing pictures but I just think they were aborted and that makes me sad.

Jon said,

September 12, 2009 @ 9:17 pm

Hey guys, remember when Noah put all the cute animals on a big boat to get away from the rain that God sent when he was mad? How come scientists don’t make studies about that instead of this stupid animal baby stuff! At least animals aren’t out having abortions like those dirty liberals. Unless Matt is right and the dirty liberal scientist abort the babies for them. I wonder if Noah had to carry the two tapeworms in personally? Ewwww…..

P.S. @ MATT –
You’re an idiot. You can clearly see that these fetuses are suspended in amniotic fluid and inside a healthy womb.

These pictures were taken with an ultrasound, which have recently seen a massive upgrade of technology. This is now the image quality available with a top of the line machine.

FYIAD! said,

September 13, 2009 @ 1:23 am

to the above poster, ultrasound cant pick up colour, ever heard of fibre optics?

as for this whole god discussion, look at a comparison between religion and level of intelligence. god is a man made theory that was created to stop people askingtoo many questions and to control the thronging masses, that is the christian, muslim and jewish god. most other religions are just old forms of science, people trying to answer what was at the time unanswerable with the limited resources they had, these days we have the technilogical advancement and SUPPOSEDLY have the intelligence to not have to waste our times praying to an invisible man in the sky.

Actually they did, And the Discovery channel had a special about it. It was also proven that no matter HOW hard it rained its impossible to flood the earth the way it was described.

Though,it was never said that there wasn’t a flood in the Region Noah had Lived in. So its possible that there is SOME truth to the story, but as what happens with All stories like this, they tend to be exaggerated over time.

Hey guys these aint pictures. these are 3d-models that they captured with ultrasound and then textured and made to look pretty.

MrBurrows said,

September 25, 2009 @ 5:08 pm

Too all Christians here, Adam and Eve could not have existed, this is proven. If they didn’t exist, there was no “Original Sin” and hence, Jesus would not have had to die. You fail. I say good day.

wahh said,

September 27, 2009 @ 3:36 pm

the whole story of jesus is dumb. if god is all-powerful, then why would he have to incarnate himself through a virgin birth(disputed as it was an incorrect translation and should have just read “young girl”), then live for thirty years performing miracles and then be tortured and die and then re-incarnated? if he was all-powerful couldn’t he have just forgiven the sins? that’s a lot of unnecessary steps to go through. especially when a lot of christians dispute the story of adam and eve, saying its primarily just a story not to be taken seriously. that would negate the whole purpose of Jesus
to the person above that said god created animals, not jesus: aren’t they one in the same? or are you some polydeistic heathen?

fyi said,

First, The Spanish Inquisition:
this was caused by the Roman Catholic Church. In Revelation 13, the first beast is described as arising from the water. This beast is Rome, and the water is people. The beast is a religious-political power, that persecutes the saints for 1260 days, or literal years (which is from 538-1798, which ends when the pope is taken captive, also known as the “deadly wound”). Many that were persecuted by the Church were saints, the true believers and followers of the Bible. Also the beasts number is 666(Vicarius Filii Dei)

The Roman Catholic Church is in direct opposition to God and Jesus’ teachings in the Bible. The pope claims to be the replacement of Jesus Christ, and declares authority to change the Bible, hence the change of the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday, not to mention many other law changes.

Therefore, the Spanish Inquisition, led by the Roman Catholic Church, was NOT in the name of God, but rather against true Christianity.

Also, the point of Jesus’ incarnation was to live as an example to humanity, and die on the cross. His example was to show that we can do all things through Christ (Phil3:14), and that we should strive to be perfect as Him. It is the fact that he knew no sin, but became sin for us that, through him, we may have everlasting life. His death was the result of man’s sin.

fyi said,

October 18, 2009 @ 11:21 am

to clarify, the beast represents the papacy, which succeeded to the power and authority once held by the Roman Empire.

a stumbling radiographer said,

To Dr. Annika Carver and the others who seem to think these images are created via ultrasonongraphy;

there seems to be a bit of confusion, ultrasound may be advancing rapidly but it is not capable of imaging in such fine detail, read up on the physics it utilises,
it throws sound waves at internal objects in the body and then decides what type of structures the returned waves have travelled through, e.g. either cystic or solid. It cannot provide rendered images that show minute detail of capilliaries within the wall of the uterus.

Even the much-touted 4D scans that people get so worked up about are nowhere near the quality of image displayed above, follow this link for an example: http://www.georgehernandez.com/h/aaBlog/2004/media/06-29_4DUltrasoundAt22Weeks.jpg
