This engineering marvel, first of its kind in India on sea took 10 years for completion (started in 2000 and completed in 2009) and estimation of Rs 1600 crores ($ 400 million approximately). It’s a pleasant experience to drive between Bandra and Worli in just 7 minutes which otherwise takes more than an hour if taken a normal route. There is a view point on top of pylon (pillar) that gives the panoramic view of the city which is famous for the sky line in south Mumbai. This 8 lane concrete bridge linking Bandra and Worli across the Mahim Bay held in position by steel cables will become a permanent symbol for Mumbai beating the Gateway of India.
