Migraine is a severe form of headache on the temples of the head. It may be unilateral or bilateral. Usually the pain is very severe and associated with nausea and vomiting. It runs as a chronic malady periodically recurring. The attack of the migraine is followed with warning symptoms like insomnia, irritability and depression.
Causes of Migraine:
The exact causes of migraine are not known. However it is known that migraine attacks are due to a change in the body or outside environment for which the affected person reacts. These changes usually trigger in an attack with some warning symptoms like irritability, sleeplessness and depression. Some of these factors which are responsible for an attack of Migraine are:
Some women get migraine just before menstrual periods due to changes in the hormone production in the body.
In addition to the above, a latest study by American Headache Society’s Women’s Issues Section Research Consortium found that migraine attacks in the adults are linked to the childhood abuse. They have examined several patients with confirmed migraine attacks and found that 58% of the sufferers had a history of abuse or trauma.
