Researchers at the University of South Australia (USA) Nutritional Physiology Research Centre are investigating the usefulness of oats in maintaining the mental health of old people. The benefits of oats are well known but the researchers are interested to know how the oats act in maintaining the mental health. Janet Bryan from USA School of Psychology a pioneer in these studies has worked well on the usefulness of oats in improving the mental health in the aged people. According to his study that green oats contain bio-active nutrients which improve the bloods supply to the brain cells there by helping in the concentration and attention in the aged.
