Apple iPad To Hit US Market On April 3

Apple had finally announced the launch of its much awaited tablet computer i.e., ‘the Apple iPad’ on April 3 with Wi-Fi connectivity. However, the other models with both Wi-Fi and 3g connectivity are going to be launched in late April.

The iPad sports a 9.7-inch screen with Multi-Touch interface technology, measures 0.5-inch thick and weighs 1.5lbs. It allows you to access the internet, watch videos, listen to music, read eBooks and play games with its battery life of nearly 10hours. Users will also have access to Apple’s App Store where 15,000 iPhone apps will be available.

The iPad with only Wi-fi capability will be available in US from April 3 at a price of $699 for 64GB, $599 for 32GB and $499 for 16GB of memory. The models with both Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity are said to be available from late April at prices of $829 for 64GB, $729 for 32GB, $629 for 16GB. Both the models will be set for sale outside US in countries like Canada, France, Australia, Japan, Spain, Germany, UK and Switzerland from late April where the price details are not yet announced. Pre-orders for both the models will begin from friday on www.apple.com.
