Audi To Launch Its Fastest Car R8 GT

Audi introduces its limited and faster version of R8 supercar, the ‘R8 GT’ which is even powerful, lighter and faster than its previous version R8 V10.

The R8 GT weighs 1,525kg which is 100kg less than the R8 V10, the power of the engine has been increased to 552bhp and has a power-to-weight ratio of 362bph per ton. As a result the car can attain a speed of 0-62mph (100 kmph) in just 3.6 seconds thereby reaching a top speed of 199mph (320kmph). The engine has a R tronic automated manual transmission and an EU Combined fuel economy of 20.6mpg and is capable of sharing six gears within a tenth of a second at high-load and engine speed. It shares its quattro four-wheel-drive system with a standard stablemate, provides 15percent of power to the front wheels, 85percent to the back during normal drive but the power of about 30 percent can be redirected to the front wheels depending on the situations arised.

The R8 GT sports standard LED headlights that use emitting diodes for its functions, 19 wheels in a titanium look finish feature a 5 twin spoke Y design. The R8 GT from Audi will be available in four colors Suzuka Gray Metallic, Phantom Black Pearl Effect, Ice Silver Metallic and Samoa Orange Metallic and will be dispatching only 33 models for the UK market and is priced at £142,585.
