BSNL’s 3G Services Launched in Andhra Pradesh

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) finally launches its much awaited 3G mobile and broadband services in Andhra Pradesh after a long delay. The 3G service provides telecom operators to offer upto 7.2Mbps internet speed, good quality video calls and live TV with high speed.

Apart from the state capital, the 3G UMTS network for 3G GSM mobile and HSPA Broadband services is launched in 29 other cities and towns of Andra pradesh that includes some of the well knows places like Adilabad, Nizamabad, Medak, Warangal, Rangareddy, Karimnagar, Nalgonda, Mahbubnagar, Khammam, Anantapur, Cuddapah, Kurnool, East Godavari, Chittoor, Guntur, West Godavari, Krishna, Nellore, Prakasam, Srikakulam,Visakhapatnam (Vizag) and Vizianagaram.

The commercial launch of the 3G high speed service in all the cities will be launched by the end of this month

On this 3G network, Tarrif plan for BSNL new subscribers can make STD call (on net) for 50ps per minute and local call (on net) at 30ps per call (minute). However, off the net, the charges will be 70ps for STD and 60ps f or local calls and also offers local SMS will be charged at 40 paise per SMS, national SMS for 60 paise and international SMS for Rs.3. The data transfer charges is 1 paisa per 10 kilobytes data transfer.

The existing BSNL 2G prepaid mobile customers can convert to 3G services just by one SMS:
“M3G120” to 53733 while Postpaid subscribers need to send M3G25 to 53733.

The new subscriber can buy 3G Prepaid Connections at 59 rupees. After that 3G customers can get first validity prepaid voucher of cost Rs.120 and get Rs.20 free talk time. The validity is one year for new customers and 180 days for existing (2G to 3G migration) customers.

The 3G services will be available for new and existing customers under prepaid and postpaid connections also.
