‘Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2′ Breaks Sales Record

A controversial game ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’, from Activision Blizzard Inc. had set up new records on its opening day to make it the biggest launch in entertainment industry.The game is all about hunting down a terrorist which allows players to plot attacks against civilians.

According to Activision, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 sold 4.7 million copies alone in North America and Britain on the opening day itself with a collection of $310 i.e., £186.“Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2” sold game packs totaling about $550 million world-wide in its first five days on sale and topping all video game records. London’s Leicester Square has been filled due to huge among of crowds who gathered for premier show. Some game fans has dressed themselves in tanks and military costumes.

The Call of Duty is expected to match the last year’s ‘Grand Theft Auto IV’ from Take-Two Interactive Software Inc., which has also broken records at the time of its launch by selling 3.6 million copies with a collection of $310 million around the globe. But the latest has broken its record in both its sales and collections as it had collected $310 million in only two countries.

The game ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’ has set to break a huge number of records in all the ways i.e., in terms of openings, sales and collections.
