Dell Streak to be Launched Next Month

Are you waiting for a tablet to be owned? If so, here is a new Andriod based tablet the ‘Streak’ from Dell going to be available later this month in UK through O2 and then will soon be into the stores in US this summer.

Getting into the specifications of the Streak, it is quiet smaller than the other tablets available in the market but sports a large 5-inch WVGA screen with 800 x 480 pixel resolution, multi-touch capability and capacitive in nature. It sports a 5megapixel camera with autofocus and dual LED flash at rear, front facing camera for video chat, a 1530mAh removable/ replaceable battery, 3.5mm audio jack, 2GB of internal storage and expandable memory upto 32GB with a support for microSD card which can hold 16,000 songs, 42 movies or 32,000 photos.

The streak runs on Andriod 1.6 (Donut) Operating System when bought and can later be upgraded to Andriod 2.2 (Froyo) and is powered by 1GHz Snapdragon ARM-based mobile processor from Qualcomm. The connectivity options of the phone include integrated Bluetooth 2.1, 3G, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g), GPRS / EDGE / UMTS class 12 GSM radio with link speeds of HSUPA / HSDPA 7.2 Mbps. It comes pre-loaded with Twiiter, YouTube apps, Facebook and Google Maps with free turn-by-turn navigation.

The pricing details of the Dell’s Streak tablet is yet to be announced.
