Here is the first ever Indian Web Browser named ‘Epic’ being launched by a ‘Hidden Reflex’, a Bangalore based startup. Some information about the company is, it was setup in 2007 at Bangalore by Alok Bhardwaj, a U.S based Engineer. It has a three member team at the initial stage and has grown into some group of people who are presently working on two products- Epic and another product which is still in the process, yet to be launched.
Getting back to the Epic, it is a browser which makes the Indians all over the world proud, based on Mozilla platform and has 1500 and more customized Indian themes and wallpapers at the launch which includes freedom fighters, Bollywood stars, Cricketers, some famous places in the country, animals etc. Another feature is that applications like Twitter, Facebook, Orkut etc can be launched directly by clicking on their respective icons present on the sidebar of the browser. The background of the browser can be changed by selecting any one from those provided by it.

It even features a built-in anti-virus protection which is probably the first of any web browser. The browser supports writing in twelve Indian languages currently, provides access to national and regional news from popular publications, live cricket scores, live television channels, local events, top music albums, videos and stock quotes. It also provides applications like video sidebar, my Computer Browser and a free word processor.
