Gboard – The Gmail Keyboard For Shortcuts

Are you a Gmailholic? And tired to memorize shortcut keys in your keyboard? If so the new Gboard be the need for you. Gboard is a specifically designed for Gmail users, introduced by Gboard.com (it is not affiliated with Google, Inc.).The Keys are programmed with macros that correspond to Gmail’s keyboard shortcuts. There’s no software required for Gboard to work on Windows and Mac OS X. But to activate the Gboard, first the user has to enable keyboard shortcuts in Gmail settings and the device simply connects via USB. The device comes with 19 shortcut keys and divided into 4 colors i.e. Blue, Orange, Red and Green.

Blue – Search, Results, Stars, Esc, Reply, Reply All, Forward and Compose.

Orange – Star and Archieve.

Red -Trash and Scan.

Green – N.thread, P.thread, Next, Previous, Select, Inbox and Open/Close.

Advantages:

Disadvantages:

  • Unfortunately the Gboard doesn’t feature all of the 69 Gmail shortcuts.
  • Gboard comes only in black color
  • Gboard may be less useful if Gmail’s shortcut keys change.
