Google Chrome Beta Launches for Mac and Linux

Google has released an official beta version of its Chrome browser for Mac and Linux. The initial beta version named Build 4.0.249.30 requires Mac OS X Leopard or Snow Leopard as it is compatible only with Intel-based Macs. Along with Mac, Linux also gets a beta version with more focus on speed, stability and security.

Advantages of Chrome beta version for Mac is very faster than Firefox, Camino or Opera and is significantly capable of storing large amount (20+) of tabs overcoming Firefox and Safari on Mac. In this URL bar also acts as search bar and is a standards-based Webkit browser bringing strength to the platform.

Disadvantages are CSS issues and scroll bars becoming oversized are the common things needed to be worked on and the Chrome for Mac yet does not allows you to use extension.Despite of these disadvantages, the browser is equally compete able with Firefox and Safari.
