Hyundai’s New i20 Diesel and Automatic Transmission

The Hyundai motor India has come up with a diesel and automatic variant of its premium compact hatchback, the i20. It is upgraded with automatic and diesel options than the previous one launched last December to enhance and increase its appeal base. With this launch Hyundai has became the first manufacturer to offer an automatic option.

The engine provides best-in-class torque, class leading technology, unmatched power and good fuel efficiency. The Hyundai i20 Automatic Transmission comes with a 1.4L CRDi engine with a maximum power of 90PS@4000rpm and a peak torque of 22.4Kgm@1750~2750 rpm. It also has a 1.4L GAMMA engine, which uses 16valve, DOHC, VTVT technology that delivers smooth drivability, optimum fuel mileage and acceleration. It uses a 4-speed gear box with an overdrive lock switch. It even provided with rear disk brakes with ABS and EBD and has 6 airbags.

The powerful CRDi powerplant provided boasts innovations like electrical EGR along with EGR cooler (exhaust gas re-circulation). It contains eco-friendly oil filter which reduces pollution and maintenance cost, it even has LAMBDA sensor that delivers maximum fuel efficiency.

The diesel version is priced at Rs 6.1 lakh – Rs7.2 lakh. Coming to the Automatic version it comes between Rs 7.31 lakh – Rs. 7.72 lakh.(ex-showroom Delhi)
