The new version of Digg ‘Digg version 4 alpha’ (new.digg.com) has been launched which contains only selective group of people and companies who are allowed to follow on digg and those are categorized depending on a specific topic areas. It is reported that the new version is unable to handle lot of accounts when compared to big SNS like Twitter and Facebook. It seems that Digg is going for validation and testing process before opening accounts for everyone. According to few Power Diggers (People who pass a lot of time on Digg with many popular submissions) who faced problems with an error being occurred like ‘unable to load more profiles, please try again later’.
But at the same time Digg has come up with this new one at a correct time as many many users of Facebook are fed up of privacy issues and some users of Twitter are facing problems during login time as they try to sign in to their accounts they are getting profiles of some others who,m they even don’t know. So the new Digg will be very helpful for those users.
The main new version of Digg is ‘My News’ based on who you follow a personalized news feed will be generated for you. The V4 also provides an easy way to submit a new link you ned to only copy a URL and paste into the submission bar and your story will be submitted. The new Digg contains both errors and some good features. Lets hope the errors will soon get corrected and get successful.
