Nikon D3S Digital SLR Camera Unleashed in India

Nikon launched a new Nikon D3S image sensor camera based on the Nikon D3 model, improving in low light photography segment which which comes under the latest version of D-SLR.

Nikon D3S is a 12.1 MP image sensor camera developed particularly aiming at professional photographers and has seven ISO ranges from 200- 12,800. It also has been said that when needed the D3S expands to the ISO equivalent of 102,400. The D3S sports a 3-inch (approx. 921 k-dot color) 170” viewing angle LCD monitor and has a minimized start-time of 0.12 seconds and release time of 0.04 seconds; the buffer memory for the D3S has been increased twice than its previous version.

The camera has options like free video shooting with the help of ‘Save Selected’ frame option, JPEG with stereo sound, contrast detection AF system to provide autofocus support while movie capture and live view. It also has the ability to capture movies in motion with stereo sound at 720p/ 24fps using input jack provided. The Camera provides four manual control levels Low, Normal, High and Extra High. It also offers five options Active D-Lighting.

The Nikon D3S camera uses EN-EL4 rechargeable batteries offering a long battery life and is capable of shooting upto 4,200 images per charge. It boasts a Quiet shutter release mode suitable for wildlife photography and uses Twin CF card slots.

The Nikon D3S sensor camera will be available at a price of Rs. 2, 89,950.
