Nikon Unveils D300s and D3000 SLR Digital Cameras

Nikon have added two more series of cameras to its line up of DSLR family D300s and D3000 digital SLR cameras offering new lenses along with them. The D300s and D3000 are the well updated versions, which offer you high standard pictures which makes you to feel proud of yourself.

Nikon D300s:

The D300s is inherited and is updated with a HD video feature when compared to the D300. D300s is a 12.3-megapixel camera with DX-format CMOS sensor and 51-point auto focus system. It has a 3-inch LCD screen. The HD video capture produces 720p video at 720 frames per second (fps).

It in addition has a high-fidelity (Accuracy with which an electronic system reproduces the sound or image of its input signal) microphone which eliminates the use of an external mic. It has two memory card slots CF and SD which can be used simultaneously, which even helps you in moving files between them. A new D-Lighting bracketing feature is provided for shooting high-contrast scenes. The D300s comes with an image-stabilized AF-S NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 VR lens.

Nikon D3000:

Coming to the Nikon D3000, launched aiming at people requiring 10.2 mega pixel resolution, DX-format sensor with different exposure modes and a guide mode helping beginners to get used to it very easily. In addition to the guide mode, the D3000 sports a grip of internal retouching features and a simplified 11-point auto focus system. It also has the feature of HD video capture, with continuous shooting at 3frames per second (fps). It even features an expanded ISO range from 100 to 1600, which may be further extended to 3200 with an additional HI-1 setting.

Price and Availability:

However, both the cameras may be available in August 2009. The Nikon D300s comes at a price of $1800 (approx. Rs.86,832.58) and the Nikon D3000 will come at $600(approx. Rs.28,936.00).
