Panasonic Introduces Lumix DMC-FP8 Digital Camera

Panasonic launches new Lumix DMC-FP8 digital camera focusing on functionality like speed of start-up, photo capture and stylish design. The camera features a high-quality 28mm wide-angle, 4.6x Leica DC lens with folding optics and comes with 12.1 megapixels.

The camera is enclosed in a nice and stylish looking case, designed beautifully. It has a new high speed Auto Focus system(AF) and Panasonic’s Intelligent Auto(IA) technology. As mentioned above, the camera has a high speed start-up which is capable of being started only in just 0.95 seconds, in additional it has a fast response which captures photo that may last for a brief time.

It has a special feature of POWER Optical Image Stabilization (O.I.S) which when compared to the previous O.I.S, MEGA O.I.S the repression is doubled in this new product. The advantage of this POWER O.I.S is it minimizes the blurry photos when captured during night time.

The other features included, it can record dynamic HD motion pictures in 1280 x 720p at 30 fps along with WVGA (848 x 480) and normal VGA (640 x 480). It allows the users to enjoy watching at photos, videos in amazing HD quality with its HD component output capability by simply connecting the camera to television with a cable provided (DMW-HDC2).

To help capture a video with moderate exposure the camera is provided with twenty-seven scene modes including High Dynamic mode even in bright or dark areas. A software named PHOTOfunSTUDIO 4.0 is present which features dramatic speed-up of operation and helps users in storing and sorting photos by a specific, recognized face in the image.

Getting into the details of its design, it has blue LED cursor buttons which glow when pressed and its centered back panel gives it a modern and an impressive look. It has a 2.7-inch large intelligent LCD and even has Face Recognition Mode. Hooking to this the camera has a powerful battery life of highly energy-efficient image processing LSI, Venus Engine V, which allows users to take approximately 380 pictures.

The LUMIX FP8 digital camera comes in three colors black, red and silver and comes at a price of $299.95 (approximately Rs.17,000)
