RIM (Research In Motion) launches a new ‘BlackBerry Storm2’ smartphone with new features after two years of the launch of the award winning BlackBerry Storm into the Indian market.
The Storm2 comes under the same platform as that of the Storm with some new technology and features added. It boasts a 3.25-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 360 x 480 pixels, 3.2 megapixel camera with flash, autofocus, variable zoom and video recording, 256GB of flash memory, internal memory of 2GB with a microSD/SDHD card slot provided supporting upto 32GB. It sports a 3.5 mm audio jack with volume controls and connectivity options include Bluetooth 2.1 with support for hands-free headsets, Built-in GPS for apps like location-based and photo geotagging, quad-band EDGE/GPRS/GSM, Wi-Fi® (802.11 b/g) networks and UMTS/HSPA (2100Mhz).
It features a SurePress technology which provides an immediate response whenever pressure is applied on any part of the screen, helps you to type faster, easier and more accurate with multi-key actions like Shift or Alt key combinations. The smartphone runs on BlackBerry OS 5, the latest version from the company. The 1400mAH battery provided with the phone offers a talktime of 6 hours and a standby time of 280 hours.
The BlackBerry Storm2 will be available at a price of Rs.31, 990.
